How are efforts to tackle plastic pollution changing the lives of those who make a living from waste in Kenya? Researchers at the Centre of African Studies at the University of Copenhagen, in partnership with researchers at Kenyatta University and Busara in Nairobi, will be exploring this question over the next five years.

Matthew Larsen has been appointed Professor of New Testament and Early Christian History and Archaeology. His research focuses on the cultural and material histories of early Christian communities from the first to the fifth centuries, with particular expertise in archaeology, material culture, and textual studies.

On 1 January 2026, René Rosfort will take up the position of Professor of Ethics and Philosophy of Religion at the Faculty of Theology.
