Registration for exams

Full degree students
Automatic registration for exams is introduced for all full degree students at the Centre of African Studies. Unfortunately we can not introduce automatic registration for exams in optional courses and Religion, Culture and Society, and therefore you have to register for exam and choose between 10 and 15 ECTS at the same time as you register for the course on KUnet or in the direct registration period from 1 to 15 March and 1 to 15 october.

You can register for exam without prior registration for courses, and you can choose exam form e.g. written or oral in the direct registration period from 1 to 15 March and 1 to 15 October on KUnet.

International guest/exchange students
You will be registered for exam upon course registration. For thematic courses you will be regsitered for the written exam; if you prefer the oral exam instead you should change your exam registration at KUnet in the registration period from 1 to 15 March and 1 to 15 October.

Other students - credit (merit og tilvalg), open university and professional master
You will be registered for exam upon course registration. For thematic courses you will be regsitered for the written exam: if you prefer the oral exam instead you should notify the Exams Office no later than 15 March and 15 October.

Cancellation of exams

If you wish to cancel an exam, this has to be done no later than 10 May or 10 December on KUnet.  Students who have been prevented from sitting exams due to illness must show proof of this. It requires a doctor's statement that is signed on the actual examination day/due day. Til toppen

Announcement of the assessment

For exams where the student is not informed of the assessment immediately following the exam, the assessment must be completed no later than four weeks after the completion of the exam. The month of July is not included in this calculation. The result can be viewed at KUnet. Please do not ask for your result at the Exams Office or the Centre of African Studies before the assessment period of four weeks has been exeeded.

Re-exam

If the student is unable to participate in an exam due to illness or if an exam is not passed, the student may register for a new attempt for the same exam, with a maximum of three attempts permitted for the same exam (withdrawal due to illness does not count as an exam attempt). Rembember to registration for re-exams at the Exams Office.  Til toppen
